Dragon Age executive producer Mark Darrah referred to it as the "uber edition" on Twitter, and shared links to the product on GameStop.

Video Game Preorders Are Out Of Control
http://kotaku.com/video-game-preorders- ... 1575425040
Note that there's nothing new here. Most of this information was released last year. But images of this chart started doing the rounds today, and most of us hadn't seen it all laid out like this until they had, and hoo boy.

Of all the things wrong with it, I think the worst is just the embarrassment.

Hey, gamers. This is what companies think of you. All your HYPE and message board partisanship and obsessive need to pre-order (though note most of these editions don't need a preorder, but come on) a game based on a title and a trailer has led us to this, the stage where a company like Ubisoft can lay this out, look at it with a straight face and think, yup, some of these suckers will pay up, just like they always have.

The sad part is the game alone will be USD100 here so the extra 70 doesn't seem that horrific.

A few months ago, I replayed Dragon Age and Dragon Age 2 along with all of their DLC. I'm still looking pretty forward to this release and will probably buy it a week or two after it comes out and the initial bugs have been fixed and some reviews can tell me what to expect.

Does anyone else get annoyed by the fact that each sequel in this title seems to take all of the hard work molding your character and their choices and basically throws them out the window? It seemed like DA2 all your choices from DA:O were boiled down to a few brief dialogue changes.

The game style changed so much from Origins to DA2 that it wasn't even the same universe in my mind. DA:I seems to switch again to a more Skyrim-style game.

I don't mind a more Elder Scrolls type feel to the game, I just hope they can somewhat include the various elements of choice from the first two. I'd just like to see a game where dialogue options actually impacted the outcome of the story in a more meaningful and far-reaching way. It makes those choices more intriguing during gameplay and adds a lot more replayability. I also really wanna know the end result of the 'demon baby' storyline from the first. I'm hoping her inclusion in DA:I means we'll get to see some closure there.

I bought this the other night on a whim and have to say I'm actually really enjoying it. They took all the good stuff from DA:O and fixed a lot of the downsides. I haven't really gotten too deep into it yet, only about 4 hours in but these are the things I've noticed.

The scope of the world is truly impressive. It's on par with Skyrim, I'd say. It might not match Skyrim in terms of sheer size, but it is vast. I like the way they've implemented faction strength, making you feel like you're really accomplishing something unlike in Skyrim/DA:O where it felt like it was you/your party basically on their own. It feels more like you're really a part of a struggling faction vying to compete in a political landscape, as opposed to being a band of people doing all the work.

They fixed some of the point-click-wait tedium of melee combat from DA:O. At first this was hard to get accustomed to as the controls and camera are a bit of a pain, but you quickly adjust. Unlike DA:O where you could simply attack and spam the odd power, now you actually need to control your characters movement with the keyboard. This means you actually have to pay attention to your character. They've also added some interesting dynamics for ranged combat, such as high ground granting a damage bonus.

There's a crafting system I have yet to scratch the surface of. You can find resources (iron is fucking everywhere) when you're out and about, harvest them and then back in town use them to create not just weapons, but parts of weapons. Naturally, certain resources offer differing bonuses and it seems at first glance to be a fairly well implemented system.

The dialogue (which is really the driving point for me) is similar to the previous DA games. The one difference is rather than having the bland good/bad/smartass options, your main character seems to have a little more 'human' quality to him, in the sense that you can often times (thus far anyway) remain silent, or deffer to others. I like it so far.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with the game. It's more DA:O than DA:2, that's for sure. My greatest concern thus far is the choppy movement/camera. It can make simple things seem clumsy and frustrating. Other than that, I've been enjoying it though and would recommend it.
