Thomas Barnett's "The Pentagon's New Map"

Barnett is a professor for the Naval Academy who has been doing research on globalization and it's effects on the world at large and its implications to US foreign policy. Cspan has been showing a presentation he did recently, and goes on to talk about his book. I was wondering if anyone has seen this presentation and/or read this book. I've purchased the book (it arrived today, and I hope to get a chance to read it this week). But after watching his presentation, I'm rather impressed at this ability to alter your view of the world we live in. And I have to say that despite it's challenging of many of my own perspectives on our recent planning and conflicts, it is immensely interesting and worth a look.

Anyway, I would be interested to hear people's reaction to the presentation/book.
