I was reading the paper this morning, and there are a few more articles about the US having a 'peek' in Iran , and rumblings about it being Bush's next target. Is the US prepared to go to war again , with another middle eastern nation ? You guys worried about this at all ?

Even the current administration isn't that crazy. Looking around inside Iran - sure. Identifying targets "just in case" - sure. Running contingency scenarios - sure. Actually invading - no way in hell.
Their missles can hit central and parts of western Europe. Those are the ones that should be most interested in the subject, but I guess they do not care too much.
What incentive does Iran have to attack Europe? Their two major targets (now that the US was kind enough to eliminate the third) would be Israel and the USA and they really aren't dumb enough to start a conflict with either right now.
Their missiles could reach India and Pakistan too. So what?
They share a border with Pakistan, a country with whom they've had a stormy relationship. On the other border, they have a state in chaos. Pakistan has the bomb. Tell me why they wouldn't see one as valuable protection.

It was a response to Burz's statement that 1) Iran has missles that can hit Europe, and 2) Europe doens't seem to care.
Europe doesn't care because they KNOW the US will do the heavy lifting in any military conflict with Iran. Why? Because we have more military capability than Europe combined and we're required to through various treaties.

They don't care for the same reasons that they don't care the US has missiles that can hit them, Russia has missiles that can hit them and they all have missiles that can hit each other.
Tell me - where did you invent a possible conflict between Western Europe and Iran from? That's a simple absurdity that you're using to push your own anti-European agenda.

Which ones? I don't recall bashing Europe for simply being Europe. I've had issues with France and Germany on specific topics, but thats about it. Maybe some comments about socialized medicine.. maybe.

Well, it's a very surprising thing for someone who isn't anti-European to come up with an impossible land war between Iran and Western Europe that the US would have to "bail them out of (again)". The pure absurdity of that hypothetical is just laughable.
So tell me, in this Euro-Iranian war that the US was going to "bail them out of", did you expect the Iranian army to move through Georgia, Ukraine and Poland to get to Western Europe or was the Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania, Hungary, Austria route easier?
Or perhaps you were just suggesting Iran would lob some missiles as Western Europe for no good reason and they don't have the aircraft or pilots to respond to that little problem?
Help me out here, because if it wasn't just a purely anti-European comment for no reason other than personal vindictiveness you must have had some scenario in mind where Europe as a whole wasn't able to respond to some Iranian attack, right?

Europe tells Iran.. go pound sand. To save face, Iran pumps up the rhetoric. Europe does the same. Someone in Iran's decision tree says "fuck the infidels" and lobs a couple of nukes into Paris.
France immediately surrenders.
The rest of Europe says pelase don't do that again, while Paris smoulders. Iran says... piss us off again and you're next. We're ready to meet Allah... are you?
