And For More The Record

Post by Cwell »

Howdy Folks!

I doubt there is even one person left who remembers Cwell Fizzlefingers, but I've been suffering a recent bout of nostalgia... so I figured that I would make a post here.

I basically started my MMORPG career playing a game called "The Realm." I heard about a mass exodus from that game over to a new game that was coming out: Everquest. At that time I was in the Marine Corps, and dating a chick who worked at Best Buy. As it turned out, my (at-the-time) girlfriend was already playing EQ.. so we decided to share the character. Well when Cwell was about level 30, we broke up and I kept the toon.

Nevertheless, I talked half my unit into playing with me. I can't even remember all of their in-game names, but here goes: Sanosuske, Jullius (who e-bayed when he quit), Endelass (I got him fired as a GM when i made him scout the new zone 'Plane of Air'), Suen (forced to change his name by a GM post 50), Dreadpirate Roberts (also forced to change his name post 50). Another buddy of mine played a palladin, but i have no clue what his name is now read an article that he died in Iraq though... Zimbok... Now this is kind of funny, but the original Zimbok got arrested for having a copy of neigh on every kiddy porn picture on the internet. The guy that took over Zimbok was pretty cool though. I even talked my little brother, Ponair, into playing. I don't know.. i can hardly remember anymore, but i know there is a lot more!

I miss those guys a lot.. and being in the Corps, which is really what got me to thinking about EQ in the first place.

Anyways, I was an officer in Order of Eternity, until a botched PoA run (led by me) made me quit in an act of haste.

Later, while unguilded, i signed up for a Plane of Fear run that ultimately led me to quit the game.

I never answered any of the flame posts that earned me the title of ninja-looter. It has been so long now, I can’t even remember the names of those involved, or even the Guilds that were there.

I’d like to talk about it now, and I promise to keep it short and sweet. This is mostly due to the fact it has been around 6 years since it happened.

Anyways, during the course of the raid, I was one of three enchanters on the raid. At the time, the common practice was to post what items you still needed from the zone at the time you signed up. The only item I still needed was the robe, and the other 2 enchanters had no PoF gear at all. Early on one of the enchanters got a drop. Then 3 more pieces dropped and the other enchanter “passedâ€

Hey Cwell......Kulanae here.

I remember you. First time I really got to see what an Enchanter could do was when I was still guilded with Warriors of Wrath back when we will still leveling up in Sol A and we were in the bar room when it seemed like the entire room poped while we were still fighting. You were moving through the area and started using AE mez's while we slowly chopped em down and tried to keep you alive with heals. That was fun.

I also used to talk to Sano a lot back in the day and then sort of lost track of him.

Nice to see you still around and you'll be surprised how many old timers will post in this thread, hehe.
